AC Installation and Replacement in Lilburn
A new air conditioner sized by the numbers for your house and its ducts. Installed clean. Started up and measured before we call it done.
Size Is the Whole Ballgame
Here is the thing most people never hear: a new air conditioner is only as good as its sizing and its install. Too big, and it cools the air fast, shuts off before it pulls the moisture out and leaves the house cold and clammy at the same time. Too small, and it runs all afternoon in August without ever catching up. Neither one lasts the way it should. So we do not size by copying the old unit or by a square-footage shortcut. We run a load calculation for your house: insulation, windows, orientation, ceiling heights, the number of floors, how many people live there. Then we check the ductwork, because a properly sized unit on undersized or leaky ducts still struggles. Only after that do we talk equipment. SEER2 ratings matter, and we will explain the tradeoffs between efficiency levels, but a high rating installed badly gives back much of what you paid for. Before replacing anything, we also answer the first question honestly: does it really need replacing? Age, repair history, comfort and power bills all go into that answer. If a repair is the smarter move, we say so. Many Lilburn homes from the 1970s and 1980s are on equipment that was swapped like for like again and again, and sizing them fresh often changes the answer.
What Goes Into Every Install
Every house gets its own plan. These pieces show up in almost all of them.
Repair-or-replace review
Age, repair history, comfort and operating cost weighed honestly before any new equipment is quoted.
Load calculation
Sizing based on your actual house, room by room, not a rule of thumb.
Duct inspection
Supply and return sizing, leaks and insulation checked so the new unit can breathe.
Matched coil
Indoor coil and outdoor unit chosen as a pair so the system performs as designed.
Line set, drain and power
Copper replaced or flushed, condensate drain pitched with a float switch, electrical sized for the new load.
Permit and inspection
Permits pulled where the city or Gwinnett County require them, inspection scheduled.
Startup readings and haul-away
Charge, airflow and temperature drop logged at startup. Old equipment leaves on our trailer.
How an Installation Comes Together
Measure the house
We walk the rooms, check windows, insulation and ducts and ask what bugs you about the current system.
Lay out the options
Two or three equipment choices, each sized for the house, each with a clear price and plain pros and cons.
Install day
Runners down, old equipment out, new system set, brazed, purged, evacuated and wired. The work area gets cleaned as we go.
Startup and walkthrough
Full cooling run with readings recorded, thermostat set up and registration steps for the new equipment explained.
